Objective # PPSFG203: Create a Greenways Master Plan

BACKGROUND

This Change in Service #2 will approve the development of a Greenways Master Plan as a part of Goal No #2.  The proposed plan will identify key greenway corridors, develop cross sections and design standards, develop cost estimates, prioritize projects and develop an implementation plan.  A greenway is defined as a transportation corridor for bicycles and pedestrians that is not part of a vehicular roadway.

This Change in Service includes the following items:

 

                     Public/Stakeholders engagement;

                     Review and Evaluation of Existing City Plans and Policies with Recommendations Related

to the Greenways Plan;

                     Data Collection;

                     Update of Greenways and Trails Master Plan Map;

                     Development of Cross-sections and Design Standards;

                     Cost Estimates, Project Prioritization and Implementation Plan; and

                     Greenways and Trails Master Plan Documentation.

 

The Greenways Master Plan is expected to start by first week of March and will be completed in 90 days. Staff anticipates bringing the analysis and recommended plan in June/July time frame.
