Background Information:
This is a scheduled replacement vehicle. The 6-yard Dump Truck 76-905 is 15 years old and has passed the recommended replacement date. It is starting to incur more repair costs than normal and becoming expensive to continue in the fleet.
Pursuant to Local Government Code 271.102, the City has the authority to participate in cooperative purchasing programs, therefore, staff recommends award of this contract to Rush Truck Center, San Antonio, Texas, in the amount of $107,000 through BuyBoard contract # 601-19.
