BACKGROUND:
The San Marcos City Council has given direction that a workshop is to be scheduled in late November or early December to discuss potential adjustments that might be made to the existing City's drought ordinance. This agenda item has been added to give the City Council an opportunity to make suggestions on potential topics they would like to have addressed at the future workshop.
Topics that council may want information on may include:
· Water supply sources/triggers/drought requirements
· Regional utilities drought conservation plans
· Enforcement methods and practices
· Supply/demand curves historical and future
· GPCD history and targets
· Water Master Plan advanced conservation goals
· Regulatory requirements for drought planning
· Financial effects of additional water usage on revenues and future water supply costs
· Options for water marketing/leasing
