CITY COUNCIL GOAL: Economic Vitality and Responsible Finances
BACKGROUND:
This resolution with authorize the sale of San Marcos Police unit #0514, a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria marked police vehicle, to the city of Martindale for use by their police department. This vehicle has exceeded the mileage used by the city to determine replacement schedules and had been scheduled to be sent to auction before the end of the fiscal year. This sale would allow the vehicle to be sold to Martindale for an amount equal to the anticipated auction sale price while providing assistance to a neighboring city. Proceeds from this sale would be returned to the general fund according to city policy.
