BACKGROUND

On September 1, 2015, the San Marcos City Council approved a meet and confer agreement with the San Marcos Professional Firefighters Association that provides for assignment pay for specialized functions performed by Support Services or the Training Coordinator in the San Marcos Fire Department.  The meet and confer agreement became effective October 1, 2015.  It is no longer necessary to provide for fire assignment pay in the San Marcos City Code due to approval of the meet and confer agreement.
