CITY COUNCIL GOAL

COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ELEMENT(s): [add the Plan elements and Goal # and Objective(s)]

BACKGROUND

On February 18, 2016, two (2) bids were received for Concrete (IFB 216-156).  According to the terms and conditions of the bid, the City has the right to award a contract based on lowest bid.

The Community Services Department - Parks and Recreation Division has reviewed all bids and recommends awarding one contract to the lowest, most responsive, and most responsible bidder, TexMix Concrete, located in Leander, Texas.  The cost of the concrete is $216,000.00.

Due to a steadily increasing population of residents and tourists, it has become necessary to augment parking facilities for such attractions as the San Marcos River.  To accommodate this growth, a concrete parking lot will be constructed at City Park with  more than 280 parking spaces.
