CITY COUNCIL GOAL:
BACKGROUND:
On October 15, 2013 the Council adopted the attached ordinance on second reading to formally create the San Marcos Commission on Children and Youth to oversee the implementation of the Youth Master Plan. The Youth Services Manager was hired 7 months ago and began working with the City Clerk's Office regarding appointments for this commission. During the process of contacting stakeholders and applicants it became apparent that Staff needed some clarification of the ordinance in order to complete the appointment process and insure the commission would be able to begin work as quickly and efficiently as possible following appointment.
