Background Information:
For quite a few years, City staff and Council have discussed a new city hall. Prior to COVID, several studies on space needs were completed for the City. The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) also recently completed a study looking at redevelopment options for the city hall complex in association with a new Hopkins Street corridor.
The purpose of this briefing is to review the history of the current city hall and present potential concepts to receive some high-level direction for staff and consultants to consider moving forward. This direction can include what uses should be included in a new city hall, location, and possible financing alternatives.
