BACKGROUND:  
City Council has formulated the attached City of San Marcos FY 2015 - 2016 Goals during two (2) Visioning Workshops held on April 10th and May 1st.  At the June 2nd Council Meeting, Council asked to combine Goal 2 & 6 into one goal, combining both Beautification and Quality of Place, as well as, add items we should stop doing to ensure future success.  These goals have been amended.
 
The 2015 - 16 Goals are:
1.      Assess, present a plan for, and begin the update of City Facilities;
2.      Beautify and Enhance the Quality of Place for San Marcos;
3.      Continue Downtown redevelopment;
4.      Recruit employers that will provide job opportunities for knowledge and skilled manufacturing workers;
5.      Maintain and improve the City's infrastructure; and
6.      Continue to build on positive working relationships between Council and staff to enhance communication, decision making and execution.
