Background Information:
SMTXU owns an electrical substation off Ranch Road 12 (near Fire Station #2). Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) acquired land adjacent to the Ranch Road Substation in order to build their own substation and provide service for its customers which are in its certificated service area that surrounds these substations and beyond. PEC requested an easement on the SMTXU access road. The easement is necessary and reasonable, causes no harm to SMTXU, and in fact will be improved by PEC during their substation construction which is a benefit to SMTXU.
