CITY COUNCIL GOAL: Big Picture Infrastructure
BACKGROUND:
Texas State University has requested that the City to analyze the design capacity, operations and safety of the Sessom Drive and Academy Street intersection. The City is also interested in improving this intersection and would like to include this analysis in the current Transportation Master Plan Update.
The attached Interlocal Agreement allows the City to provide this analysis through the current Transportation Master Plan Update contract and allows Texas State University to reimburse the City for this work.
The work will include traffic forecasting, evaluation of alternatives, existing, no-build and build alternatives analysis, and development of conceptual exhibits for the Sessom/Academy intersection.
Staff recommends this agreement for your approval.
