Background Information:
The City Council previously approved an employment agreement for City Clerk, Elizabeth Trevino, dated August 16, 2022. The employment agreement remains in effect and contains provisions regarding severance in the event the City Manager's employment with the City ends under differing circumstances.

The City Manager, City Attorney and City Clerk have requested that the severance provisions in their respective employment agreements be separated from the existing agreements and memorialized in a standalone severance agreement.

Tonight's action approves: 1) a restated employment agreement that omits provisions regarding severance; and 2) a new severance agreement.
