Prior Council Action: On June 16, 2026, during council consideration on first reading an amendment to the draft ordinance was made to clarify that authorized representatives of stakeholder groups identified in subsection (b) need not be residents of the City and that former members of the Historic Preservation Commission may also serve on the committee.

Background Information:
The recently adopted Historic Preservation Plan recommends the establishment of a permanent City Council-appointed Historic Preservation Plan Oversight Committee as a long-term implementation strategy to build on the success of public involvement and investment in the plan.
