CITY COUNCIL GOAL: Quality of Life and Place & Enhance the Image of San Marcos
BACKGROUND:
At their August 20, 2014 meeting, The Arts Commission approved three pieces of permanent art they would like to purchase. These items were chosen after a request for proposals was issued to various artists whom the commission identified.
Photos of the pieces are attached.
"Conversation Piece" by Kevin Box will be located in the Activity Center/Sculpture Garden/Library Complex.
"Life's Lessons" by George Lundeen will be placed at the Children's Park.
A custom kinetic piece by Lapaso will be placed at the Activity Center/Sculpture Garden.
