Background Information:
The City Attorney's Office has assisted Texas Aviation Partners in negotiating with the Chief Appraiser for Caldwell County who removed the property tax exemption from properties at the San Marcos Regional Airport. Attached is background information including an executive summary which details this situation and a letter of protest submitted by the City Attorney's Office. This agenda item is to authorize outside legal counsel to litigate this matter before the Caldwell County Appraisal Board to restore the public exemption status...
