CITY COUNCIL GOAL:
BACKGROUND:
On September 25, 2014, the City received three (3) bids for the Surface/Edge Milling project (IFB 214-457). The project manager, Jesse Shroyer, has reviewed the bids and recommends awarding the contract to the low bidder, Aaron Concrete Contractors, LP, located in Austin, Texas, in the total amount of $300,850.
The project scope includes, but is not limited to the milling of existing asphalt on multiple City streets in the support of the City's overlay program. The project is an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) project in which individual work orders will be issued for separate smaller projects rather than one notice to proceed for the entire scope of work. The initial IDIQ contract term is three hundred sixty-five (365) calendar days with three (3) option to renew periods of three hundred sixty-five (365) calendar days. The renewals will be renewed administratively.
