Background Information:
The State of Texas 88th Legislature passed legislation making the establishment of local juvenile curfew ordinances unlawful. That legislation has been signed by the Governor and is effective on September 1, 2023. To come into compliance with this new legislation, the City should repeal its existing juvenile curfew ordinance.

The City could decide to leave the ordinance in the Code of Ordinances, but it would be unenforceable. This is not recommended.
