Background Information:
The Local Government Code and the City's Code of Ordinances Section 8.06 requires City Council to set the time and place of a public hearing on the budget. The City's practice is to hold two public hearings on the budget, which are scheduled for September 2nd and September 16th. The public hearings provide an opportunity for citizen comment on the Fiscal Year 2026 Proposed Budget.
