Background Information:

Staff is seeking initial authorization on a variety of Development Code amendments. These amendments have been organized by type:

                     Compliance with State Laws

                     New Business Park Zoning District

                     Process Improvements

City Council Direction (some of which have received direction previously)

                     Add Clarity

                     Corrections

Part of this action item may include a discussion on Recommendation Resolution 2023-01RR approved by the Parks and Recreation Board in May of 2023 (attached). The resolution seeks to require signage for publicly accessible, privately owned / maintained parks and seeks to update the fee in lieu for parkland dedication.

Following approval of this initial authorization staff will take the Parks & Open Space item to the Parks and Recreation Board for feedback prior to the standard adoption process.
