Background Information:

The approximate 38.45 acres is the portion of Five Mile Dam Park between the Blanco River and soccer field complex. The land is generally located west of Post Road and south of the Blanco Vista subdivision. The property is City-owned after purchase of the land from Hays County in 2025. The soccer fields were annexed under Ord. 2011-69, and the remaining land is included in this request.

Zoning is not proposed with this annexation; Future Development “FD” is the default zoning district for any annexed property unless zoned otherwise. The site is located within the Conservation/ Cluster Preferred Scenario Place Type per the Vision SMTX Comprehensive Plan. An annexation service agreement is attached. The City of San Marcos is the water and wastewater provider, and Pedernales co-operative will provide electric service.
