Background Information:
The professional services agreement in the amount of $900,000.00 with Plummer Associates, Inc., will provide engineering design, bid and construction phase services for the City of San Marcos (City) related to the Hunter Water Main Extension Project and other projects, if needed. The on-call contract will allow the City to efficiently issue task orders for engineering design, plan review, and technical support services as project needs arise.
Plummer Associates, Inc. has worked on previous projects in the City of San Marcos and was selected from the Qualified Engineering Services solicitation RFQ#221-105.
The first project assigned will be for the Hunter Water Main Extension Project. The area includes roughly two dozen water customers that were inherited via a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (CCN) swap with Crystal Clear Special Utility District (CCSUD) in 2021. The Hunter Water Main Extension project is required to extend COSM water service to the inherited customers and loop the network to an existing water main on Dorado Bluffs.
The preliminary construction estimate for the Hunter Water Main Extension Project is +/-$2M and will be updated after the 30% design. Construction is expected to start in 2029.
