Background Information:

The CM Allen Roadway Reconstruction Project consists of reconstructing the roadway from Hopkins to University.  Other project components include: 12-foot multi-use pathway from Hopkins to Dog Beach on riverside, 6-foot sidewalks on downtown side, 10-foot multi-use pathway link to river, street parallel parking, trees and landscaping, street and pedestrian lighting like downtown, cross walk at Hutchison, realignment of the Hutchison and river park parking lot intersections, and Green Infrastructure.

This CO #1 consists of relocating/replacing two existing old and shallow sanitary sewer pipelines and the replacement of the water service for the River House.  The change order also includes making connections to the recently constructed sanitary sewer main along CM Allen to allow for future abandonment of the sanitary sewer line that is located adjacent to the river.   A future CO for sanitary sewer relocations for the Chamber of Commerce, Fish Hatchery Building, and Cock House will also necessary to support the future abandonment.

The sewer replacement should be complete by the end of March.  Overall the project is approximately 3 months behind the original schedule, due predominately to weather delays and unanticipated conflicts with existing utilities.  Final completion of the project is anticipated this summer.
