Background Information:

The City of San Marcos is party to an agreement with Hays County and San Marcos Hays County Emergency Medical Services (SMHCEMS) for the provision of emergency medical services which is governed by a six-member Board of Directors, per the terms and conditions of the agreement. The current bylaws reflect the requirement of one board member to be appointed by the city council.
