Background Information:
This resolution authorizes staff to pursue a grant and zero percent interest loan from the Flood Infrastructure Fund program with the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB).
In June 2020 the City submitted an abridged application to the TWDB for the Wallace Addition Offsite Drainage Improvement project. Based upon the information in the abridged application the City has been invited to submit a formal funding application to receive a grant and a zero percent interest loan in the amount of $1,740,000 and $4,060,000, respectively. It’s anticipated that these funds will be used for construction only.
A resolution from the governing body is required as part of the application.
