Background Information:
On March 19, 2019 City Council approved Ordinance 2019-01 on the second of two readings. The ordinance included a general description of the properties to be annexed. More recently, the current owners of the property had an on-the-ground survey of the land prepared for the purpose of submitting plat and permit applications. The surveyors found that the description attached to Ord. 2019-01 was slightly off in certain areas. An example of the discrepancy, ranging from 3 ft. to 12 ft. is attached.
In order to correct the City Limit line and accurately reflect the land owned by the developer, this item is correcting the exhibit associated with the approved Ordinance (2019-01). Since this is only a correction, no public hearing is required. City Council is not determining the merits of the annexation, only authorizing staff to update Exhibit A with a more recent and accurate property description.
