Background Information:
The Human Services Advisory Board met in February and March to review the governing ordinances, bylaws, and rules and regulations for the Board. During this review it was noted that Code of Ordinances Chapter 2, Article 3, Division 9, Section 2.232 states “The Board will meet at least once a month.” The Board actually meets weekly during the application review season but does not typically have a reason to meet in months outside that season; therefore, the Board is requesting that the wording be changed to “The Board will meet as needed to fulfill its duties. The regular meetings of the Board shall be set on a calendar approved by the Board for the upcoming calendar year at the last scheduled meeting of the year.”
The last scheduled Board meeting generally occurs in November, and it is at this meeting that the annual calendar of meetings for the next calendar year will be set.
