Background Information:
The attached change order for $366,393.83 to agreement 223-025 with Aaron Concrete Contractors, LLC will adjust the quantities to match installed field conditions. The proposed change order will increase the total contract amount to $3,704,543.23.
On April 4, 2023, the Hills of Hays Drainage Improvements Project was awarded to Aaron Concrete Contractors, LLC in the amount of $3,152,030. The purpose of the project is to alleviate reported flooding in the Hills of Hays subdivision.
The scope of this change order includes increases in quantities related to driveway and sidewalk reconstruction within the Hills of Hays neighborhood. Bid quantities were calculated assuming reconstructing driveways at maximum slopes and with approximated elevations. During construction, it was determined that the driveways needed additional revisions to match actual field conditions for cars to avoid bottoming out on the new driveways.
