Prior Council Action: Council has discussed and considered previous drafts of a proposed lobbying ordinance on several occasions over a period of years. Most recently, council reached a consensus to have a revised version of the lobbying ordinance brought back for consideration on first reading that would only apply to contacts between lobbyists and the city’s elected officials.

Background Information:
The attached ordinance is limited in its application to contacts between lobbyists and the city’s elected officials. Highlighted provisions were added as a result of work done by the Ethics Review Commission following the city council’s last discussion/consideration of a proposed lobbying ordinance.
