Prior Council Action: This project was originally presented to Council on Dec. 6, 2022, as a CDBG-CR project. City Council decided to fund other needs and requested that staff fund the project with other means. Parks Staff determined that fee-in-lieu funds paid within this project area available to cover this expense.

Background Information:
The purpose of this project (223-057) is to furnish and install shad canopies, concrete slabs and picnic tables, of which 4 tables will be used to develop a pavilion, and a skate feature at the Kenneth M. Copeland Memorial Park. This skate feature will be like the one located in Dunbar Park.
The work will be performed by T.F. Harper & Associates, LP, Buda, Texas; through the Local Government Purchasing Cooperative BuyBoard Contract #581-19 for Job Order Contracting (JOC). Following approval, the contractor will begin acquisition of materials and will have the project installed by late June-early July which is dependent upon when the materials arrive and weather.
Pursuant to Local Government Code 271.102, the City has authority to participate in cooperative purchasing programs therefore, staff recommends award of this work through the Local Government Purchasing Cooperative BuyBoard Contract #581-19.
