Background Information:

In filing the documentation for the interconnection between the City and Texas State University water systems to provide a temporary fire suppression service, which was approved by 2021-113R, the City’s consulting firm determined that the 2019 Water Conservation Plan needed updating to include specific language now required by the Texas Water Development Board.  TWDB-1968 Section M requires that wholesale water contracts require the customer to adopt and implement a Water Conservation Plan. This requirement is being added to the City’s Water Conservation Plan approved on April 16th, 2019.  The Water Conservation Plan is required to be updated every five years and will be updated again in April of 2024.
