Background Information:
This is a 5-year WIC Program contract with HHSC, with no significant changes from the last contract. The City receives reimbursement for WIC program expenses, with additional reimbursement for indirect costs associated with support services.
The WIC Program serves low-income pregnant/postpartum/breastfeeding women, and infants and children up to the age of five. Services are provided in Hays, Caldwell, Guadalupe, and Comal counties, and include health assessment, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to other health and community resources.
