Background Information:
On November 13, 2025, eight (8) bids were received for the Linda Drive Improvements - Phase 1 project. Texas Roads, LLC., is the lowest bidder with a total base bid of $5,964,055.00, and appears to be qualified and capable of performing the work for this project. The reference check provided glowing recommendations of their work quality and responsiveness. Texas Road also has gone by the name Austin Underground, Inc., and under this name, the contractor has completed various projects successfully for the City of San Marcos. Under the same name, the contractor is currently working on the Davis Lane Lift Station project.
The purpose of this project is to replace old infrastructure and to convert overhead electric to underground along Linda Drive. The project scope includes the replacement of approximately 4,000 LF of waterline, 3,400 LF of wastewater line, and the conversion of 6,000 LF of overhead electric to underground along Linda Drive from River Road to Bugg Lane.
Construction is anticipated to last eighteen (18) months, weather permitting.
