Background Information:
Labor Day weekend of 2022 the pool filtration system at the Rio Vista Lap Pool failed. The pool was closed to the public and the system evaluated for repairs immediately. Upon inspection it was determined that the system was no longer able to be repaired due to its age. Parks and Recreation Staff contacted multiple vendors to receive quotes prior to the selection of Progressive Commercial Aquatics, Inc. The Vendor will remove existing equipment and install Neptune Benson fiberglass sand filtration on the Rio Vista Park Lap Pool. Installation will be completed with 120 calendar days.
Pursuant to Local Government Code 271.102, the City has authority to participate in cooperative purchasing programs therefore, staff recommends award of this work to Progressive Commercial Aquatics, Inc., Houston, TX, in the amount of $121,056.53 through the BuyBoard contract # 613-20.
