Background Information:

This 2.57-acre annexation request is part of the approx. 70-acre Zoning Change request from Planning Area/ General Commercial/ FD to CD-5 (ZC-21-26) for the former “Sportsplex” site. The 2.57 acres is primarily within the floodway and in a designated drainage easement. The applicant would like to incorporate their entire parcel into the City limits in order to simplify the development/ approvals process going forward.

 

Council Committee, Board/Commission Action:
The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended denial of the associated Zoning Change request ZC-21-26 at their January 11th meeting. The motion to recommend denial was approved 7-2, with Commissioners Sambrano and Moore dissenting.
