Background Information:
In August 2003, the City entered into an Enterprise Agreement with Microsoft. The Microsoft Enterprise Agreement allows the City to purchase licenses and software assurances, for a core group of applications for the organization and use on our servers from Microsoft Corporation. Software assurance allows the City to receive the latest version of software, support, training, software utilities, and planning services for the products while under the agreement.
This change in service is for an annual renewal from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022 (FY22) and as reflected in the attached proposals, the cost of the added services in FY 21 has more than doubled due to the number of technology resources other third-party vendors have requests for Structured Query Language (SQL) used to communicate with numerous databases for core services like Maximo, Court LT Systems, NorthStar, ESRI, Aries Pro, CAD/RMS, New Outage Management System (OMS), and Tyler Munis which have substantially increased in the last few years. The need for new servers and the additional licenses needed to use those servers have resulted in such an increase reflected in this ACIS.
