Background Information:

The City Council appointed representatives to the Core Four Task Force in October and November 2020. 

 

Catherine Marler recently resigned from the City and no longer serves.


The Task Force is comprised of two members from Hays County, two members from Texas State University, two members from San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District, and three members from the City of San Marcos.

 

The following appointments have been made to the Core Four Task Force:

The function of the Core Four Task Force will be to work with the Youth Services Director under the direction of Community Action, Inc of Central Texas (CAI) on implementation of the City’s Youth Master Plan.  The Task Force will report back to the Core Four Policy group (City representatives on the Policy Group are Stephanie Reyes, Melissa Derrick, and Alyssa Garza) and will also take their recommendations regarding plan implementation into consideration.

Recommendation: 

Staff recommendation is to fill the vacancy with the new Youth Services Coordinator, Casey Pittman. She replaced Catherine Marler in her role as Youth Services Coordinator.
