Wastewater Master Plan
Background Information:
Based on the recommendations of the COSM Wastewater Masterplan, this project proposes to replace a 12” wastewater line with an 18” line from W. San Antonio St across Purgatory Creek to Ellis Street.
The La Cima developer selected Bowman Consulting Services, Ltd., for the design of the La Cima subdivision project as well as wastewater design services for this Capital Improvement Project. Based on a development agreement with the City, the La Cima developer is responsible for the design of this new 18” wastewater line. Bowman Consulting is the engineer of record for the overall development including the wastewater design project, and is responsible for subsequent bidding and construction phase services which are funded through the capital improvement program.
Some recent design changes to the wastewater alignment and the addition of a storm sewer line, as requested by the City, has prompted the need to add more funds for design. This Authorization of Change In Service (ACIS) will add $49,940.00 for bid and construction phase services and to finalize design. The current contract amount is $40,640 and this ACIS will exceed the $50,000 limit that can be approved administratively.
Current construction estimate is $1,741,969. This project is anticipated to start late this year and take less than a year to complete.
