Background Information:
On November 14, 2024, the City received eight (8) proposals in response to On-Call Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (“SWPPP”), RFQ 224-176.
A City-staffed team conducted a thorough evaluation of all proposals submitted and selected the following firms as the most highly qualified firms to provide stormwater pollution prevention plan consulting services for various City projects:
• Plummer Associates, Inc., located in Austin, Texas - #224-176.1
• Colliers Engineering and Design, Inc., located in San Antonio, Texas - #224-176.2
• Utility Engineering Group, PLLC, located in New Braunfels, Texas - #224-176.3
• Capitol Environmental located in Austin, Texas - #224-176.4
A SWPPP is a document required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (“TCEQ”) Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (“TPDES”) program on construction projects which disturb more than one acre. The purpose of a SWPPP is to protect water quality by reducing or eliminating pollutants that could be carried by stormwater runoff into rivers, streams, and other water bodies. Effective stormwater management helps prevent environmental damage, promotes compliance with federal regulations, and reduces the risk of fines or penalties for non-compliance.
The contract term for each of the above listed contracts will be for a period of five (5) years for a contract amount of $200,000 each.
