Background Information:
Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is currently working on SH 123 at De Zavala Dr Intersection Improvements project (CSJ: 0366 - 01 - 081). The objective of this project is to construct northbound and southbound left and right turn lanes, improve drainage and add crosswalks at SH 123/De Zavala Dr intersection.
City of San Marcos (the City) 12” water line conflicts with intersection improvements proposed by TxDOT and requires relocation. Water line design and relocation will be the City’s responsibility.
Contract 222-247 with Kimley Horn is to provide engineering services associated with the relocation of 12” water line. Scope will include survey, easement metes and bounds, bidding and construction phase services. The City will work with TxDOT to execute a Utilities Advanced Funding Agreement (AFA) to joint bid the construction of 12” water line.
Kimley Horn and Associates, Inc. is selected from the Qualified Engineering List (219-129) for water wastewater engineering services approved by City Council on April 16, 2019.
