Background Information:
Climatec will provide monthly preventative maintenance and monitoring of the City’s energy management and control system for city facilities. This building automation system allows City staff to remotely monitor climate control to ensure proper operations and comfort of the public, visitors, and staff throughout the City. The contract includes on-site repairs and guidance as needed.
This request is to approve a contract with Climatec, LLC through BuyBoard cooperative contract 733-24 for monthly preventative maintenance and technical support in the estimated annual amount of $45,000.00 per year and authorizing two one-year additional renewals for a total contract price of $135,000.
Pursuant to Local Government Code, Section 271.102, the City is authorized to participate in cooperative purchasing programs to increase effectiveness and efficiency of local governments.
