Background Information:
On November 3, 2022, one (1) bid was received for IFB 222-303, Removal of Invasive Plants from the Riparian Buffer of the San Marcos River. The purpose of this contract is to remove invasive plant species from the Riparian Buffer. All plants will be chemically treated immediately after removal. The contract will monitor sites monthly to ensure the designated species do not re-grow after removal is complete and retreat as needed.
Staff recommends award of an annual contract to the lowest responsible responsive bidder, EBR Enterprises located in Cypress, Texas, in the estimated annual amount of $38,412.50. The initial term of the contract will be for one (1) year for the estimated annual amount of $38,412.50 with options to renew for four (4) additional one (1) year terms. The estimated total contract value for five (5) years is $192,062.50, if all renewal options are exercised, with an option for a 2% increase on the 2nd year renewal option. Contract renewals may be awarded administratively in the form of an Authorization of Change in Service.
