Background Information:
The City has engaged Schneider Engineering, LLC, dba SEnergy previously under contract #220-199 to provide ongoing regulatory tracking and compliance support services and proactively address any issues as required. Services include reporting to regulatory entities, maintaining and updating event reporting and operation plans, and providing training and other compliance measures in accordance with NERC, PUC, and ERCOT requirements.
SEnergy has a lengthy history of providing regulatory tracking and compliance services for the City, making them uniquely qualified in understanding the City’s position and needs. Due to the nature of regulatory compliance, the risks involved and the potential punitive nature of non-compliance, a lapse in regulatory compliance services and/or an unwarranted and potentially lengthy and uncertain transition period could be detrimental to SMTXU operations which makes SEnergy the most qualified firm to provide these professional services.
The term of this new contract will be for a period of five (5) years for a total contract amount of $104,424 with the pricing by calendar year (CY) as shown below, which includes annual increases of five percent (5%):
CY2026 - $18,900.00 (monthly rate of $1,575.00)
CY2027 - $19,848.00 (monthly rate of $1,654.00)
CY2028 - $20,832.00 (monthly rate of $1,736.00)
CY2029 - $21,876.00 (monthly rate of $1,823.00)
