Background Information:
The attached change in service for $195,163.00 to Agreement 219-129.3 with BGE, Inc. will provide additional engineering design services for the City of San Marcos (City) Wallace Addition Offsite Drainage Improvements project and increase the total contract amount to $1,831,381.00.
The Wallace Addition Drainage Improvements Project PER dated August 2020 evaluated various off-site drainage improvements to reduce the flood risk to the Wallace Addition subdivision and surrounding areas. The project scope includes drainage infrastructure along Staples Road, Cape Road, and within Fish Hatchery to improve conveyance and reduce flooding within Wallace Addition.
Approval of a change in service 5 is requested to develop planting and irrigation plans for approximately six acres of restored stream channels, wetlands, and uplands, and to develop Cape St design plans which includes a 10 foot shared use path.
The project is scheduled for construction in Fall 2026 pending Easements/ROW acquisition
