BACKGROUND:
The Texas Local Government Cooperative (BuyBoard) has awarded a contract #424-13 for Construction, Road, Bridge & Other Equipment to Waukesha-Pearce Industries, Inc., located in Austin, Texas. The Public Works Department - Drainage Division is purchasing a new Gradall XL3100 V 4x4 - C34 Truck Mounted Excavator in the purchase amount of $359,120.45 to clean open channels, conduct debris clean-up after floods/heavy rains, and reduce flooding hazards associated with clogged drainage ditches and retention ponds. This acquisition will be made through a Purchase Agreement with US Bancorp Government Leasing & Finance, Inc. Approval of the Purchase Agreement for this item is on the March 15, 2016, City Council Agenda.
