Background Information:
The Streets Division of the Public Works Department needs a supplier of ready-mix concrete to support City maintenance operations including, but not limited to, sidewalk maintenance, transit pad maintenance, and ADA sidewalk compliance.
On January 18, 2024, the City received two (2) bids for Ready Mixed Concrete (IFB 223-243). Staff recommends the award of an annual contract to Xevex Materials, LLC, Buda, Texas, which is the lowest bidder. The term of the agreement of an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity basis for an estimated amount of $400,000 annually with the option of four (4) additional one (1) year periods. This contract will be available to all City departments on an as-needed basis while primarily serving the Public Works Department.
