Background Information:

At the September 3, 2024 City Council Work Session, staff provided a presentation on available utility assistance and utility assistance received by residents. During the meeting, City Council requested staff bring back the following items:

                     Recommended criteria for a request for proposal (RFP) for City-funded utility assistance.

                     Revenues received for penalties and reconnections.

                     Budget for penalties and reconnections.

                     Response to why there is not a lifeline for electric rates.

                     Balance of utility assistance donations and how the funds are used.

                     Response to how a person can change a recurring utility assistance donation amount.

                     Provide a GIS map showing disconnections throughout the City.

                     Response to how Spanish speaking customers are served.
