Background Information:
In December 2021 City Council approved the original development agreement. The applicant has requested amendments to the original agreement which are described in more detail in the attached presentation. A few examples of the amendments include the following:
• Updated ownership information
• Acknowledgement of the creation of MUD #9 and potential creation of MUD #8
• Acknowledgement of the city’s capacity to provide water if land is released from Crystal Clear service area
• New or updated Code waivers such as:
• Increased dead end street allowance to 800 ft.
• Increased block perimeter from 5,000 to 10,000 feet
• Increased cut & fill from 12 ft. to 30 ft. with enhanced water quality standards and additional protections before earthwork commences
Council Committee, Board/Commission Action:
The Riverbend Ranch City Council Committee consists of Council Members Garza, Gonzales, and Mendoza. The Committee met three times in 2023 & 2024 to discuss the request. At their final meeting the Committee provided direction to staff to finalize the negotiations with the developer and place the amendment on an agenda for City Council Consideration.
