Background Information:
The Cities of San Marcos and Kyle have maintained a long-term water-service relationship with Resolution 2000-190R, which authorized the initial Water Transportation Agreement allowing Kyle to transport treated water from the San Marcos Water Treatment Plant through San Marcos’ system using an initial delivery point on Yarrington Road and establishing metering, billing, and operational responsibilities. This arrangement was expanded in Resolution 2002-153R, which approved an Amended and Restated Water Transportation Agreement revising the delivery location, increasing allowable flow rates, and defining new infrastructure and cost-sharing requirements. Resolution 2016-153R authorized a Water Supply Agreement enabling San Marcos to sell Kyle up to 560 acre-feet per year of treated water, using the established delivery infrastructure.
This resolution extends the agreement for another ten-year term.
