Background Information:
This acquisition of an approximate 0.71 acre lot, within the Blanco Vista Subdivision, will allow for the construction of an elevated water tank to provide for the second delivery point for the Alliance Regional Water Authority water supply to the City’s water system. The cost of this 0.71 acre lot is $210,000.00. The cost was analyzed by City Real Estate staff and is supported by recent acquisitions and includes the impact to existing and proposed adjacent lots.
A water tower site was not part of the original requirements for the development. The need for this second delivery point was only recently identified with the analysis of the City’s water system for this additional water supply.
