Background Information:

The Uhland Road Improvements project is one of the several projects approved by the City Council to address infrastructure improvements with the originally allocated $12.5 million in HUD-DR funding that was subsequently increased.  The goal of the project is to alleviate local flooding along County Road and Uhland Road and improve mobility during storm events. Overall, the project will:

                     Construct stormwater system meeting City standards with a new outfall to the Blanco River.

                     Reconstruct the roadways and widen in areas to meet city roadway design standards.

                     Improve intersection traffic control at Uhland Road and River Road.

                     Replace water and wastewater within the new roadway sections.

                     Construct up to a 10 ft. wide sidewalk from IH-35 Frontage Road to Aquarena Springs Drive.

 

Construction is expected to last 18 months weather dependent.

Solicitation 220-212 was issued on October 11, 2020 for the Uhland Road Improvements project.  On November 12, 2020, four (4) bids were received.  Award is recommended to the lowest responsive bidder, Patin Construction LLC, Taylor, Texas in the amount of $6,495,711.54. Note: The total amount bid reflected on the Bid Tabulation includes a $595,000 Owner Contingency.
